About me

My Philosophy

I believe that every woman and family can benefit from having a doula, regardless of the type of birth, number of children, or parenting choices. I support home births, birth center births, hospital births...medicated, unmedicated, cesarean section...first time parents or seasoned parents...families who breastfeed, formula feed, exclusively pump, or any combination of those.
My Story

My name is Emma Williams, I am a Certified Labor Doula and Certified Postpartum and Infant Care Doula. I am a mother of five...two young adults, two teens, and an elementary kiddo, and Gammie to one toddler! I grew up in Northwest Florida, and have a background in Music and Early Childhood Development and Education.
When I was pregnant with and gave birth to my first two children, I was young and did not have a good local support system, and found myself agreeing to unnecessary interventions and procedures that ultimately left me feeling powerless and unsatisfied with my birthing experiences. With each birth after, I became more and more educated and confident in my decisions, and by my fifth birth I had what I call my “dream birth”, where I felt empowered and fully supported. After that final birth I decided that I wanted to help as many women as possible to feel educated, supported, and empowered in their births and transition into motherhood, and so in 2018 I became a labor doula, and in 2019 I became a Postpartum Doula! A few years in I decided that I wanted to widen and update my scope of knowledge, and so in 2023 I cross-trained and became certified through a second organization for Labor, and in 2024 for Postpartum and Infant Care.
